YAM YAM
YAM YAM formed in late 2015, coming together from playing in an assortment of local bands in central PA. The band is inspired by 1970s soul music, New Orleans roots of jazz music, and modern/vintage funk and jam music. YAM YAM features raw instruments and captures a high-energetic sound. YAM YAM is Mike Dempsey on keys, Jason Mescia on saxophone, Xander Moppin on bass, Tom Fuller on guitar, and Tyler Fuller on drums.
The band released its debut, self-titled album in late 2018 and upon its release, it charted on Billboard Jazz Albums section at No. 17. The band has opened for Lotus, Dopapod, and Keller Williams among others and has been featured in NepaScene, LiveForLiveMusic, TheBurg, and Burg in Focus.
Sun Parade
Sun Parade is a 5-piece psychedelic pop-fusing rock and roll band with deep grooves and sizzling harmonies from Northampton, Massachusetts. The band is songwriters Chris Marlon Jennings and Jeff Lewis, in addition to Karl Helander (drums), Niko Lapinski (bass), and Eli Salus-Kleiner (keyboards)
In 2007 Chris Jennings and Jeff Lewis struck an instant connection at a party in Maine through their mutual love of The Beatles. The pair joined forces in Northampton Massachusetts in 2011 to support Chris’ debut release EP “The Sun Parade” which quickly led to their first collaborative LP release “Yossis” in 2012. Subsequently, the band self-released the EP “Heart’s Out” in 2014, “Shuggy Mtn Breakdown” in 2017 and “Treats for Terry” in 2021. Sun Parade is currently producing a new record with Ian Hersey which is set to be released in 2023.
Sun Parade has done direct support for Lake Street Dive, Felice Brothers, Brazilian Girls, Dr. Dog, Rogue Wave, Martin Sexton, Illiterate Light, Big Thief and Grace Potter.
“The guys can harmonize like the Beach Boys on acid ... They sound like the psychedelic ’60s, the indie ’80s, and the electro-pop boom of the aughts. If you like, well, rock ’n’ roll, you’ll like Sun Parade.” – Jed Gottlieb, Boston Herald
